Equipment

  • 1 Member's Mark 14" Nonstick Restaurant Fry Pan
  • 1 WearEver 2QT Sauce Pan

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Bacon (14 thin slices)
  • 5 oz Instant Noodles

Instructions

  • Pour 2 cups of water into a small pot and place on the stove to boil.
  • Add noodles to the pot of boiling water and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Place a frying pan on another burner of your stove, put the bacon slices in it and start cooking. Try to place them spread out as much as you can to ensure each side cooks uniformly.
  • Flip the bacon slices from side to side as it cooks and cook for about 6 minutes, or until desired. If you like your bacon very crispy, you might have to cook them for up to 8 minutes.
  • Add the packaged seasoning to the noodles, stir and allow to cook for about 3 minutes or until water is almost dried up. Then set the pot aside. The seasoning is quite intense, so I would recommend you use only half the sachet of seasoning per pack of noodles. See the recipe notes below for seasoning guide.
  • Remove the cooked bacon from the frying pan and drain briefly on a strainer or paper towel.
  • Use a chopping board to chop the bacon slices into small pieces and add them to the pot of cooked noodles. This is to enable them mix well with the noodles, so how small how want them depends on you.
  • Scoop some of the oil and juice mixture in the frying pan with a spoon and add to the noodles for that extra smoke flavor and taste. This is an optional step, so you can skip it if you do not want any oil at all in the final meal.
  • Mix well and serve.

Notes

  1. For noodle seasoning, if you are doing 1 pack of noodles, use half of 1 sachet of seasoning. This is because these seasonings have a very sharp spicy taste and besides, the bacon is salt cured, so using all the seasoning will impart a very salty taste on the meal.
